Repairs Are Easy

We take every precaution to prevent hairline cracking and provide a Limited-Lifetime Warranty for uneven fading, chipping, peeling, or cracking wider than 1/8”. However, there are many variables that can lead to hairline cracking—which is why hairline cracks are not covered in our warranty. For example, ground conditions or a compromised foundation can lead to hairline cracks. Not to worry though. Alfredo and Tim took great care of us in our recent exterior stain project. We have rustic cedar siding that had some pretty big woodpecker holes and weathering, but Unseth sent their carpenters and painters out and did a great job. I don't give 5 star reviews. Mostly because I always believe that there is room for improvement. I honestly don't believe that Greg Unseth Painting can improve past where they are now. 1. They are systematic. We booked an appointment for an estimate, and it was like a month out. Having delt with other construction people, I was seriously doubtful they would even remember much less show. To my pleasant surprise, they are like a doctor's office. They texted the day before to make sure "I" remembered. Texted when they were on the way, and through the entire job. 2. I have had both my neighbors have their house painted in the last year, so I have seen the process. Those houses both took 2-3 weeks to complete, so I was skeptical that they could do the same in 2 days. They did a better job :) 3. They had a paint guy call in advance and discuss all the paint options, the pros and cons of different colors, fading and all that. 4. So, they started painting on a Friday, and would have finished because it turned into a down pour. They had to leave, and I didn't expect them until Monday. On Thursday, when they fixed parts of the house that needed fixed, and Friday, they had lots of people working and playing music and talking as they worked. Saturday morning, no sound, but my security system kept alerting me that people were in the yard. I thought it was a cat, until it alerted to the backyard too. Still no noise at 9 am. I went out, and they were all here, silently painting! As soon as they knew we were awake, they started talking and playing music. That was the only day they didn't text me in the morning as to not disturb us. 5. There was even extensive siding damage done by the horrible roofing company that never came back to fix the damage from the brand new leaking roof (American Roofing & Construction of Castle Rock, don't ever use these people. The only review I have given 1 star too and that was too much.) Who does all this? !!!! Greg Unseth that's who! They may cost more that Bob's paint service that shows up in a van that looks like it got rolled off Rampart Range road, but it is worth every penny! I don't know any of these people or this company, just their reputation. Christian, Tim, and Jeff the paint coordinator seriously couldn't have done a better job, and the crew they have is fantastic.

We used Greg Unseth 20 years ago when we last had the exterior of our house painted and they did such a great job with top quality materials that it was an easy decision to use them again. In fact, the house really didn't need repainted (even after 20 yrs), but most of the siding on the chimney needed replaced due to woodpecker damage so we decided to go ahead and have everything done at the same time. Dave managed the crew of carpenters that came and did an excellent job replacing all of the siding and trim on the chimney, as well as replacing about 40 feet of soffet on the backside of the house. Dave was very professional and made sure we were completely satisfied. Once all of the carpentry work was completed, Tim took over managing the paint crew. They did a very thorough job resetting nails and caulking before painting. The paint crew did a very good job, but Tim made sure the work was up to his satisfaction as well as ours. We are very happy we chose to try Greg Unseth again.

Everything about this company is exceptional. From day one, when we first called for an estimate, lady the answered the phone was positive and upbeat. Our house hadn’t been painted in years and was in desperate need of repairs. I got bids from a couple different contractors, but I was so impressed with the professionalism of Chis who took a lot of time explaining their processes. He made it an easy decision to go with Greg Unseth. We chose to stucco over siding and have the trim repaired and painted. My primary contacts, once the project started, were Mark and Tim, the project managers for stucco and paint. Mark was amazing. He truly treated us like we were family. He kept us informed throughout all the stucco steps, gave us a heads up if it was going to be noisy or if there were any delays. Mark was my go-to if I had any concerns even if it wasn’t stucco related, he made sure that I got responses from the other divisions of the company. Tim kept us updated on the painting process and weather delays. He even came over one day when we couldn’t get the garage door open (it was stuck shut because of the new paint and the wood swelling due to the rain). On the final day he did some touch up work on a couple things himself instead of calling his crew in. I can’t say enough good things about the way everyone from Greg Unseth treated us and the quality of their work. Our neighbors constantly tell us how great our house looks now. Project Manager Tim Dolan led a wonderful crew that repaired the stucco work (where necessary) around my home, sealed around the gutters, power washed it all, and painted the house with the perfect matching color while also adding a highlighted trim color. I’ve had neighbors stop and tell me how beautiful the house looks! I’m so glad I chose this company and recommend them for quality work.

Tim Dolan did excellent job communicating with me on how the job was to be handled. It took a day for Jesus to get paint for the Stucco job after another person came out on Tuesday and got samples. Unclear why it took that long. The paint and stucco job looks pretty could however there is a piece of stucco on the right hand corner of the area missing. Not sure if that was the sample they took. They did a fantastic job repainting the exterior of our old little home. The old plaster-like paint was peeling badlyon the front of our house on 2 walls. We got quotes from 3 different places to repaint the entire house, a couple of them didn't seem to know what they were talking about and since our house used a specific type of paint and texture; I wanted to make sure it was done right. I trusted Greg more than the other companys who came out, and they gave us a fantastic price for repainting the entire home as well as replacing some of the old rotting trim around the garage door. We picked new fun and fresh colors for our home, and we love it. My only complaint is there were a couple times where they were late or no shows for days we were told they'd be there.

The Covid Factor I bought a small house in Briargate after renting it for 8 years. The various property managers had neglected care of this little hobble so when it needed exterior paint I was diligent. I interviewed no less than 5 companies and got estimates all in about the same range. Now it was just about finding the one I felt confident would do the best job. In hindsight I probably should have waited until the pandemic was over with costs running high and paint running short along with a shortage of qualified painters. But with our challenging winters I felt sure my siding would be compromised if I waited another season so I hired Greg Unseth. Initially I felt confident but there seemed to be a serious lack of communication within the company itself, the right hand not knowing what the left was doing. I won't belabor all the issues I experienced because I chalk it up to Covid and Sherwin Williams paint shortage issues. In the end every issue was addressed and resolved. I was pleased that Kim, Ryan and Greg Unseth were all helpful, kind and attentive to my concerns and took care to ensure my house would look lovely and lovely it does look. I am thankful for the diligence and persistence of the Unseth family and would recommend using this company to anyone looking to add value to their home.

Had house stuccoed. Mark Jeselink coordinated the work by the different crews. He was fabulous always wanting to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The painting crew was great and very personable. The stucco crew did a decent job. Stucco crews problem was communication, not showing up when they said they would, and lack of respect of the property.

We hired Greg Unseth painting to paint the exterior of our home which included stucco repairs, fascia and soffit replacement, window trim replacement, and new gutters and downspouts. I was unable to be home for any of the work, and all of my communication was done via email and text. Chris, our salesman, and Sterling our project manager were on time, super responsive, professional, and their team did an excellent job on our little house! We are very happy with the end results!!! I highly recommend them!!!

From the first, this company has been a pleasure to work with! Ryan's estimate was fair, and he broke down the work (exterior painting, stucco repair, soffit and fascia repair) into financially manageable amounts for me. Scheduling was a breeze, and Sterling was patient and thorough, from helping me choose the paint color, to answering my many questions, to squeezing in the work between snow storms. I still have more work to go, and am looking forward to the final result.I've gotten nothing but compliments on the job! The only improvement I would recocmmend is to make sure that there is clear communication among the company, the crew, and the client. The crew did great job, but I didn't always know what to expect on a particular day. Otherwise, though, it was a great experience and I highly recommend them!

We want to commend Jose on a very well done job! Jose was professional in his work as well as in his demeanor and work ethic. We could not have been more pleased with him. He spent several days in our home doing the interior walls and exterior doors. He had to work around all the trim, cabinetry, and doors. That job takes patience to get it right and HE did it right. We hired Greg Unseth to do a complete exterior remodel on our home - stucco, stone, new gutters and fascias, new garage doors as well as adding a stone/timber pergola to our front entrance. To make the job more challenging and to add an extra 'fun' factor, this project started immediately after we had re-done all our landscaping so the crews were dealing with new sod, a new stamped concrete patio and new softscape. We were very happy with the result and love our "new home". To say that our reno project created a buzz in the neighborhood was an understatement. Chris, our project manager, made on-site visits consistently throughout the project and dealt with issues immediately. When dust from the stuccoing had gotten under the plywood/plastic that had been laid to protect the patio, Chris sent crews out immediately to power wash and reseal the patio. To complete our reno project, Greg Unseth did a stone/timber mailbox to match the pergola. It was the icing on the cake! The stone mason who did the stone work was a true craftsman who went the extra mile to create a cap on the stone post that not only looked good but is functional as well. It would have been easy for him to chop off a side of the cap to fit but, instead, he cut the cap piece into 4 triangles so that each side had a finished edge and raised the middle slightly for drainage. It was obvious that he knew his craft and took pride in his work.
